Study in rounds, not marathons
Long study sessions without breaks feel productive but often are not. The Pomodoro Technique breaks revision into 25-minute rounds with short breaks, so you can keep going for hours without burning out. Set a daily goal in Settings and watch the dots fill up.
How to study with pomodoros
- Before you start, list the topics for today and estimate how many pomodoros each needs.
- Put your phone out of reach. One round of 25 minutes is short enough to manage without it.
- Study actively: test yourself, explain the topic out loud, or do practice questions.
- Use the 5-minute break to move, not to scroll.
- After four rounds, take a longer break and eat or go outside.
Exam season
Close to exams, many students move to longer blocks like 50/10 for past papers, which take time to work through. Keep the short breaks: they are what makes a long day of revision sustainable.
The same timer on your phone and tablet
Pomodoro Timer for Android has the same look and the same one-tap timer, on phones, tablets and foldables.
